10th November 2008 Jazz Mouse Studios / Paul Fawcus We have now completed 2 projects at Jazz Mouse Studios. After recording the full Orchestra at Pinewood, all the vocals and solos for our “Re:generation” and “Strictly Big Band” Albums were recorded at Jazz Mouse Studio. Both albums were then edited, mixed and mastered by Paul Fawcus. Paul’s professionalism and mastery of the technology at his fingertips is second to none. He has seemingly endless patience with the demands of sometimes difficult clients, and has an amazing ability swiftly to find solutions to apparently intractable problems. Paul’s technical mastery of recording technology is matched by the understanding that comes from being a working musician himself, thus eliminating the problems that artists so often experience in trying to communicate their wishes to sound engineers! Vitally, Paul has mastered the art of taking the sound all the way from the instrument or voice in the studio to the CD without losing the vibrancy of the live performance. I look forward to working with him again, and would highly recommend his services to anyone working on a recording project.
