Music Production in Action

Jazzmouse recording artist Christian Jon Billett is back working on his new album. This project is a working alliance with Sadiecat productions and is looking to support Christian’s solo work and touring for the year. The arranging team comprises Ian Lynn, Colin Skinner, Clive Dunstall and Bunny Thompson.
Ian Lynn is a British jazz pianist and composer who rose to prominence in the seventies as musical director to singer Barbara Dickinson. He now divides his time between writing for film, television and working with artists George Michael, Miriam Stockley and Katrina and the Waves. Colin Skinner has arranged for many of the top UK big bands and orchestras, including the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, award winning 'Back to Basie' band, Grammy nominated John Wilson Orchestra and the world renowned Halle Orchestra. Colin boasts Marti Pellow, top BBC vocalist Lance Ellington, James Langton, Jaqui Hicks and 'Big Band Singer of the Year' Matthew Ford amongst his regular clients. Clive Dunstall is also a pianist / arranger and has recently written for the BBC concert orchestra as well as John Barr, Gary Williams and his own vocal group Voxtet. Clive is currently second MD on the multi-award winning West End hit show “Hairspray”. Piano virtuoso Bunny Thompson is the last of our arrangers. Bunny’s ability to play in both classical and jazz styles makes him ideal as both a performer and arranger for Christian’s album. His two piano arrangement of Luigi Denza’s Funiculi Funicula is a masterpiece and a real contrast to “Beloved” from The Student Prince. We are in the process of recording full woodwind and brass sections for this exciting album due out this Autumn.
